Community Hearts

Community Hearts are the foundation and backbone of 1000 Hearts. They are made by Heartists in our community and offered for free to anyone who needs some kindness.

There are many people around the world making our hearts and sharing them at no cost to offer someone a symbol of hope, connection, courage and comfort. They are shared anywhere and everywhere, as the world needs so much kindness.

Hearts made using the 1000 Hearts template, resources and branding should always be offered for free, and not sold. This continues our message that kindness is freely available to everyone and there is still pure-hearted goodness in the world.

• Be a Self-Funded Volunteer Heartist: this means you purchase your own supplies and send made hearts to 1000 Hearts for distribution through our Community Hearts Program. All donated hearts are offered at no cost to recipients.
• Be a Community-Funded Volunteer Heartist: receive free supplies from 1000 Hearts so you can make hearts and return them for distribution through our program. Supplies are funded by 1000 Hearts and our community and are subject to availability.
• Fund Free Hearts: You can contribute heart-making supplies to a volunteer Heartist by paying for supplies that a volunteer will use to make Community Hearts. 1000 Hearts will send the supplies to a volunteer, who will return made hearts for distribution.
